I have not the experience of D300 and higher camera before, taking the alloy body is a different sense. The button on body is more than the D90. There is not the scene mode: landscape, portrait, microphoto, night. You can only change M, A, T mode. More adjustment can be changed throughout the button on body, without through the menu, it is faster. For example: metering, focus mode, continuous shooting ,etc.

Because D700 is FX camera, so the focus points is more centralized than D300, the ratio of focus area to total area is smaller. After experience of D700, it is fine, not a big problem.
The shortage of the focus system: cross-type sensors locate in the middle 3 colums. Portrait shot in large aperture is not very convenience.
Full format lens problem: when fix the 70-200/2.8 to D700, the vignette is very distinct, worst in 200mm. Despite this can be improved in camera’s firmware, the sharpness is descend.

来这里之前没有用过D300以上的机型，这镁合金的机身一拿在手上就是感觉不一样。按钮分布与低端的机身差别较大。已经没有了专门的风景、人像、微距、夜景等场景模式，而是通过mode按钮可调M，A ，T等模式，很多调节都是通过机身上的按钮直接更改，不用再进入菜单从而提高了速度，比如测光模式，追焦，连拍、焦点区域。

D700因为是全幅相机，焦点比D300的集中，占整个画面的比例较小，但通过使用感觉还可以。
51点对焦系统的不足：十字型对焦点都集中在中间的3列，两侧均为线型对焦点，在大光圈的人像拍摄构图略不足。
全幅镜头的问题，将xzp（70-200/2.8）装在D700上，明显感到取景器里四角暗光，200mm端尤为明显。虽通过相机设置可改善，但锐度仍不及。
